Nine ways Independent Energy Hawaii could use Google's Solar API and theStacc
Wireframes of five ideas, each drawn on IEH's own website and in the theStacc app. Homeowners, addresses and numbers are example data, set four weeks into a pilot (Mon 7 Dec 2026). 42 screens. Everything here is new to build, and 16 screens are tagged where the work goes beyond the screen itself, such as Google Solar API calls, video generation or texting. Click a screen to open it; each page has Prev and Next for its journey.
What this shows
- 1. Instant roof estimate: a homeowner types an address and sees their own roof, savings and a price range before giving contact details. It goes on the current site, no migration.
- 2. Personal roof video: every new lead gets a draft video of their roof. Savings are worked out on the homeowner's Hawaiian Electric tariff by the SurgePV marketing tool, an optional partner integration offered through theStacc. IEH approves each video before it is sent.
- 3. Repair check: owners compare what their system makes with what Google's data says it should. Google has confirmed the terms allow it, so it is live.
- 4. Neighbourhood pages: one page per Oahu and Maui area, every number with its source, sample size and date.
- 5. Room for more panels: a campaign to past customers without a battery, saying how many more panels their roof can take.
- 6. Intake assistant, from the HGE bot plan: replies in seconds on website chat, texts, Meta lead ads and Yelp. It explains numbers but never calculates them, and hands to a named person with a due time.
- 7. Every install becomes content: one upload of photos and a voice note from the crew lead becomes a project page, a Google Business Profile post, social posts and a video, all waiting for approval.
- 8. First 90 days report: each owner sees what their system made against what was expected. Everyone gets the same review request; underperformers also go to repair.
- 9. Show up in AI answers: 20 solar questions checked weekly on four AI engines, with answer pages drafted where IEH is missing.
- Nothing reaches a homeowner or goes live without IEH approving it, and every number shows where it came from.
